Crestwood is a small, entirely residential area nestled next to Rock Creek Park. Long an affluent neighborhood, the neighborhood is characterized by large single-family and freestanding homes with well-manicured lawns and gardens. Crestwood is also the home of D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty. Residents like the opulent, ornate homes and proximity to the city while maintaining the quiet and comfort of the suburbs. Metro access and shopping districts are a short trip away in Columbia Heights and Mt. Pleasant.
